Setting. The Elder Scrolls Online is set on the continent of Tamriel during the Second Era, but not all places in Tamriel are playable. The events of the game occur a millennium before those of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and around 800 years before The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The Elder Scrolls Online takes place during the Age of Heroes, 1,000 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.Skyrim is a one player RPG released in 2011, the fifth volume in The Elder Scrolls series of games. The Elder Scrolls Online is a MMORPG released in 2014. Skyrim takes place during the Fourth Era of Tamriel, while the ESO is set during the Second Era if I am not wrong.

Is eso lore canon
"The events in #ESO are canon, but the game is a new MMOG (not ES6). Bethsoft will continue to make great single-player ES games!" "Yes, #ESO is canon. We work closely with Bethesda to ensure that all lore in ESO is historically accurate & canon-appropriate."
How old is Serana in Skyrim : We all know that Serana is a nord. Nords have an average lifespan of 80 to 120 years without magic. Serana looks to be in her mid to late 20's maybe early 30's during the events of Dawnguard.
Let's get this out of the way early, ESO is not Skyrim, and by extension it is not like any other single player Elder Scrolls game. It has many similarities, and of course it takes place in the same universe, but you should not come into this expecting the same play styles you found in those games.
2 Skyrim: Fourth Era 201.

This game is quite good (if very buggy) as a whole, but as an avid player of it myself, I know it has an 18+ rating for a reason. There is a lot of violence (obviously), but also more hidden adult themes.Max Donald Mackinnon, (born 31 December 1980) who performs as Esoterik or Eso, is an Australian hip hop recording artist and founding member of Bliss n Eso since 2000.
Skyrim doesn't actually allow you to marry any vampires through regular in-game actions. The only way to marry Serana or any other vampire is through the use of a mod.
Is Serana good or bad : These are not core facets of her character, so she can skew anywhere from Chaotic Neutral to Lawful Good (Serana however will never lean towards the far spectrum of Evil. Even the 'bad guy' side in Dawnguard can be seen as Chaotic Good, because you still are trying to stop an evil tyrant and save the world).
Are you Dragonborn in ESO : As The Elder Scrolls Online takes place before the return of the Dovahkiin, there is no Dragonborn class in the game.
Is ESO nothing like Skyrim
Unlike Skyrim, having a hotbar of executable moves changes the way you play. Be it leaping across a field to an enemy or teleporting behind them for a powerful strike, ESO introduces many new mechanics that allow the player to excel how they want to, rather than being limited to similstic combat scenarios.
2920 years
For example the first era was 2920 years long. The second was 896 years long I believe. The third was 433 years and the fourth era is at least 201 years old. The reason eras end or change is because an event that changes the continent happens.Overall, this game is really fun and age-appropriate for even a 10-year-old. It has to be rated M17+ because of obvious legal reasons, but the actual content inside the game barely meets that rating, but when it does, it's extremely mild. I would honestly give it a Teen rating for violence and language.
Is ESO still pay to play : Is The Elder Scrolls Online a free-to-play game The Elder Scrolls Online is not a free-to-play game. Unlike some other MMOs, however, you do not need to purchase a subscription to play it. Buy yourself a copy (it's often on sale on Steam) and you can play the game indefinitely.
